Encounter is a Chinese documentary reality show. It features the Taiwanese actress and hostess Aya Liu and her friend. They start different journeys around the world. In the show, the idea of “disburden” and “be yourself” are central to every guest participants. They express themselves through exploring the world and clashing with different cultures. The first season of the show has more than 500 million views on Tencent videos and has won numerous awards.
